September 2020 - North Syracuse, NY

September 2020 - North Syracuse garden center, Chuck Hafner's, hosted a register roundup event in memory of co-founder Linda Hafner, a 2018 ovarian cancer angel. As customers presented their plant and vegetable purchases they were given the opportunity to donate their change for ovarian cancer awareness and research. The event raised over $5,000 and then Chuck Hafner matched the donations for an event total of $10,107.

In memory of Linda, the Hafner family has donated over $14,280 for ovarian cancer awareness and research. In the photo are Linda and Chuck's son Jess Hafner (rt) and the garden center's general manager Jennissa Hart (lt) presenting a check to Hope for Heather's Frieda and Gary Weeks.
