Its time for SUNY Oswego Hockey. This year Teal Gate, in memory of Mary Gosek is scheduled for October 19th at the Marano Student Center at SUNY Oswego.

The 11th annual Teal Ribbon Run Registration was a hugh success. It was a gorgeous day to be outside with family and friends. Over 900 people attended the event. A photo gallery is posted on the Hope for Heather facebook page and many attendees pages.

3rd Annual Paint the Line Teal
On Wednesday September 11th Minoa and Onondaga County leaders painted the center line on Main Street Teal to raise awareness on Ovarian Cancer. September is national Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month. The stripe honors teal warriors, those who are fighting and surviving, and teal angels.
To kick things off ahead of the Teal Ribbon Run/Walk, Village Mayor Bill Brazill, Onondaga County Executive Ryan McMahon, Onondaga County Sheriff Gene Conway, Village  Trustee Eric Christensen, and Hope for Heather founders Frieda and Gary Weeks, painted a teal stripe on North Main Street and tied teal ribbons around village trees to raise ovarian cancer awareness.

Sisters in Strength Group

Sisters in Strength -
Meets 2nd Wednesday each Month
. Sisters in Strength monthly sessions support women during and beyond cancer treatments. Suvivorship sessions address topics pertinent to women living with cancer or with a genetic mutation. Women meet in a safe and confidential setting on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at the Maplewood Extended Stay and Suites on 7th North Street in Liverpool. This group is open to all female cancer survivors.

Dedication of the Angel Fund
Care Baskets for Survivors
. Hope for heather supplies baskets of care items for survivors of gynecologic cancers. This baskets include many of the items that cancer survivors in treatment need and appreciate. You can help us expand this program by sending an email (support@hopeforheather.org) with the name of a friend you know is a newly diagnosed patient. Or you can participate by donating personal items or money to purchase supplies. If you would like to donate to this fund, please add the memo to your check or credit donation "Care Baskets for Survivors."

. Hope for Heather needs 50,000 TEAL ribbons to encourage ovarian cancer awareness. Help us get the conversation started by hosting a TEAL ribbon party. Dedication of the Angel Fund $25,000 for Local Support
. Heather's Angel Fund at Upstate Cancer Center - January 2016 Syr. - Hope for Heather, Ovarian Cancer Alliance of CNY, updates Heather's Angel Fund grant, at the New Upstate Cancer Center. H4H donated another $5,000 toward their pledged $25,000 for patients and family members to cover extra costs of treatment, not covered by medical insurance: meal vouchers, parking, personal care, gas card. President Frieda Weeks with Gary Weeks presented the check to Terry Toscano Shenfeld of the Foundation for Upstate Medical University
