Hope for Heather is a NYS non-profit corporation operated solely by volunteers. Over 100% of your donations are used to help local cancer patients and their families or to fund research. Jonna Ross gives $600 grant to Hope for Heather $600 Grant from Daughters of Columbus
Hope for Heather volunteer Mary Kay Buffington met Jonna Ross, President of the local Daughters of Columbus chapter. The chapter presented Hope for Heather with a very generous $600 grant for care and joy baskets that are delivered to ovarian cancer patients. Hope for Heather continues to spread a little joy and love to local ovarian cancer patients through the distribution of care baskets. Each basket contains health and beauty items, a journal, slippers, and other items to make their difficult treatment times a little brighter. read more
Lauren Begay gives $10K grant to Hope for Heather $10K Grant from Macy's Lauren Begay Macy's Carousel Store Manager presents Frieda Weeks with a check for $10,000 demonstrating the companies' commitment to Ovarian Cancer Awareness. This grant will fund "The Teal Ribbon Project;" Hope for Heather's popular Ovarian Cancer awareness program.The TEAL Ribbon Project activates church, schools, civic and private groups to help spread awareness. Through efforts of these community volunteers, 30,000 TEAL ribbons will be distributed at the 2011 NY State Fair; spreading awareness to 90,000 of the 1 million annual fair goers.
